Chief Executive Officer
Stan Mittelman was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in March 2022. Stan brings over 30 years of downstream energy experience to Vivo Energy and has spent a substantial part of his career operating in Africa. Before joining Vivo Energy Stan was SVP Africa at TotalEnergies Marketing & Services, where he led the fuel retailing and marketing business across 40 countries in Africa. Prior to this Stan held a range of senior positions at TotalEnergies, including CEO of Total Marketing France, and a number of roles on the continent, including West Africa for Total Marketing Services and MD Total Zimbabwe.
Nimit Shah

Chief Financial Officer
Nimit Shah joined Vivo Energy as CFO in May 2024.
Before joining Vivo Energy he was a Partner in the Investment team at Africa-focused Private Equity firm, Helios Investment Partners. At Helios, over the course of 15 years he led deals in more than 30 African markets, worth in excess of $2 billion. These include GBFoods Africa, Interswitch, Continental Outdoor, and OVH Energy. While at Helios, he was part of the team that, alongside Vitol, acquired Shell's downstream Africa business to create Vivo Energy in 2011. He remained involved with Vivo (at the board and shareholder level) through to Vivo’s listing on the LSE and JSE and ultimate take-private by Vitol.
Nimit holds an MBA from Wharton School of Business, and an MA in Economics and Management from Oxford University. He is a UK and Kenyan citizen.
Arnaud Guichard

EVP Retail & Commercial
Arnaud is the EVP Retail & Commercial, a role he has held since 1 February 2024. Arnaud is responsible for building and developing all areas of our Retail and Commercial business, including maximising value from retail fuel, and accelerating growth of our non-fuel retail and commercial offering.
Prior to his current role, Arnaud was EVP Retail. Prior to joining Vivo Energy, he worked for TotalEnergies, where he was the General Manager for Lubmarine, leading their global marine lubricants business. Arnaud started his career at TotalEnergies 30 years ago, and has held a number of varied roles, many of which have been focused on Africa. Before Lubmarine, he spent four years as Vice President Commercial Sales and Specialties for TotalEnergies in Africa, responsible for B2B fuels, lubricants, LPG, aviation, bitumen and solar. Throughout his career, Arnaud has spent a number of years in overseas roles, including as TotalEnergies’ Managing Director in Vietnam and Jordan, as Retail Director in Nigeria, and as Sales & Marketing Director in Uganda.
George Roberts

EVP South & CEO Engen
George is the EVP South & CEO Engen, a role he has held since June 2025. George joined Vivo Energy in 2019 as Managing Director Morocco and has served as EVP Maghreb & Indian Ocean, and EVP Business Integration & Operations prior to his current role.
Before joining Vivo Energy, George worked as Managing Director - EG Fuel for EG Group in the Netherlands, prior to which he was VP of Supply and Distribution at EG Group. He also previously worked in the oil and gas industry with BP, where he held several positions over more than 11 years. He is a graduate of MIT and Cranfield School of Management.
Hans Paulsen

EVP East
Hans is the EVP East, a role he has held since 1 July 2019. Prior to his current role, Hans served as the Group Programme Manager leading the SAP implementation project for the Group. He joined Vivo Energy in 2013 as Managing Director Uganda.
Before joining Vivo Energy, Hans held senior management roles in the telecoms sector both in Uganda and Zambia. He also previously worked in the oil and gas industry with Royal Dutch Shell in Uganda and Kenya from 1997 to 2002. He is an MBA graduate from Leicester University in England.
Franck Konan-Yahaut

EVP West
Franck is the EVP West, a position he has held since February 2019. He previously held the positions of Managing Director, Shell Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso Cluster, Managing Director, Côte d’Ivoire, before taking up his previous role of Managing Director, Senegal in September 2014.
Franck transferred from Royal Dutch Shell to Vivo Energy following the sale of the Africa Downstream business in 2011. Franck joined Royal Dutch Shell in 1996 from PwC, and following a number of years as finance manager in Guinea, Ghana and West Africa, he moved to West Africa Gas Pipeline Company in the Shell upstream business as general manager Finance and Administration.
Peyami Oven

EVP Maghreb & Indian Ocean
Peyami is the EVP Maghreb & Indian Ocean, a role he has held since September 2023. Prior to his current role, Peyami served as Managing Director Morocco.
Before joining Vivo Energy, Peyami spent a number of years with TotalEnergies, as Country Chair and Managing Director in both Egypt and Mauritius, and previously in strategy, sales and marketing roles at TotalEnergies’ head offices in Paris and in Turkey. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
Seelan Naidoo

EVP Operations
Seelan is the EVP Operations, a position he has held since June 2025. As EVP Operations, Seelan is responsible for Supply & Risk, HSSEQ & Aviation Marine Technical Audit, Technical, and Distribution across the Vivo Energy Group.
Prior to this, he held the positions of EVP South & CEO Engen, and General Manager: Retail. Seelan joined Engen in 1986 and has occupied various positions in refining, and business management, mainly in Engen’s East African markets.
Felix Lombard

EVP Transformation & Efficiency
Felix Lombard was appointed as EVP Transformation & Efficiency in January 2025. In this role, he leads initiatives to foster growth, enhance profitability, and drive continuous improvement and innovation across the business.
Felix brings nearly 30 years of leadership experience with Pioneer Foods, a leading South African packaged goods company, where he served as Group CFO and Executive Director. In March 2020, Pioneer Foods became a subsidiary of PepsiCo. Before joining Vivo Energy, Felix was Vice President, Transformation for PepsiCo Sub-Saharan Africa.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Commerce from Stellenbosch University. He is also a Chartered Accountant.
Rita Bouwer

EVP Corporate Affairs
Rita is the EVP Corporate Affairs. Having joined the Group in April 2014, she has also served as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, DPO and Head of Ethics, Compliance and Investigations. She is responsible for leading the Legal & Ethics and Compliance teams and managing the Data Compliance Office.
Prior to joining Vivo Energy, Rita spent a number of years working for consultancy firms, including Ernst & Young, specialising in forensic investigations and compliance risk management in Africa.
Rita holds a LLB Hons Degree from the University of Birmingham and is a Chartered Accountant, Certified GDPR Practitioner and Certified Fraud Examiner.
Mike McCormick

Chief Information Officer
Mike is Chief Information Officer, a role he has held since 2012. Mike has been in charge of IT and responsible for IT procurement since the company was founded, working with Shell as a Program Manager from 2009.
Mike has more than 30 years of experience in the technology field. Before joining Vivo Energy and Shell, he was Program Manager at BP. He has also worked in project manager positions for several companies, including Investec and Marsh. Mike has an MBA from the University of New England in Australia.
Issam Sadiq

EVP Corporate Finance
Issam is the EVP Corporate Finance, a role he has held since May 2026. Before this, he was VP Corporate Finance and VP Finance: Treasury. He joined the Group in 2012.
Prior, he was Markets Head & Country Treasurer, Director at Citibank in Casablanca, where he worked for over 20 years. He is an MBA graduate from Al Akhawayn University in Ifran, Morocco.

Aicha Thiam

Chief Human Resources Officer
Aicha Thiam is the Chief Human Resources Officer, a role she has held since May 2026.
Aicha joined Vivo Energy in 2018 and has held the roles of VP Human Resources, Managing Director Burkina, Commercial Manager and B2B Sales Team Leader prior to her current role. Before joining Vivo Energy, Aicha held roles at Xylem Inc.
Aicha holds an MBA from the Stuart School of Business, and both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in aerospace and mechanical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

VP Financial Planning, Commercial Analysis & Insights
Greg is the VP Financial Planning, Commercial Analysis & Insights, a role he has held since joining the Group in September 2024.
Prior to joining Vivo Energy, Greg held the position of CFO, Aviation at bp. He previously held several roles at bp, including Head of Finance, Asset Trading – Europe and Southern Africa, VP Finance (for both Portfolio & Integration and Business Investments), and Global Finance Director, Integrated Margin (Customers & Products). Prior to bp, he also spent seven years at Shell with roles including Downstream M&A and Retail Finance Manager for Shell South Africa.
Greg is also a registered Chartered Accountant (SAICA) and is also a CFA Charter holder (CFA Institute).
Welmie Schoeman

VP Accounting & Control
Welmie Schoeman is VP Accounting & Control, a role she has held since joining Vivo Energy in September 2024.
Prior to this, Welmie held a number of senior roles at BP, including CFO (Southern Africa), Financial Controller, Senior Risk Manager, Senior Finance Analyst, Global Business Services Manager and Senior Finance Advisor.
Welmie is a Certified Internal Auditor, and holds a postgraduate in Audit, Finance and Accounting from Cape Town University of Technology as well as a postgraduate degree in Taxation.
Grant Bairstow

VP HSSEQ & AMTA
Grant Bairstow is VP HSSEQ & AMTA, a role he has held since July 2022. Before this, Grant was Head of HSSEQ & AMTA and Head of AMTA.
Prior to joining Vivo Energy in 2015, Grant has held senior roles in the maritime industry including Master Mariner at Swire Pacific Offshore, SWIRE Offshore DPA and Country Manager for the Caspian Sea, Marine Manager at Subtech Group, and Bunker Unit Manager at Smit International.
Grant holds a Master of Commerce degree in Maritime Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and NEBOSH.
Norman Macleod

VP Supply & Risk
Norman is VP Supply & Risk, a role he has held since February 2026. Norman joined Vivo Energy from Vitol South Africa where he served as Africa Business Development Manager, overseeing strategy and crude and oil products operations across Southern Africa.
He has previously held senior roles at Vitol in Nigeria and Ghana, including secondments as Group Head of Supply & Trading at OVH Energy, and LPG Manager for Algasco LPG Services. Norman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from University College London.
